Why should I change if my dog is fine on its present food?
Health problems are more likely on a low-quality food and they often develop without showing outward signs. For example, the liver and kidneys may lose as much as 75% of their function before signs of disease appear

How do I change my dog onto Bestfeed complete dog food?
When changing your dog's diet, it is important to do it gradually over a period of up to seven days. This is necessary so that your dog's digestive system can become accustomed to the new food. Whether you're changing from canned food or from another dry food, start by mixing a small amount of Bestfeed with the previous food. Over the next few days, steadily increase the amount of the Bestfeed while reducing the amount of the previous food, until you are feeding your dog entirely on the Bestfeed. Changing gradually in this way should avoid any digestive upset and your dog should take readily to the new food.

Does Bestfeed complete dog food contain any unhealthy artificial additives?
No, it does not. As well as being a hypo-allergenic food, Bestfeed is natural and wholesome. Unlike some other brands of dog food, we do not add any artificial flavours, preservatives or colours. There is no added BHT, BHA or ethoxyquin.

Does it matter if I moisten the food?
You can serve Bestfeed either with or without added water in the bowl,.

For the best dental and oral hygiene, we recommend that Bestfeed should be fed dry or lightly moistened, to allow the crunchy biscuits to clean your dog's teeth.

For added palatability, it is sometimes a good idea to add a small quantity of warm water to the dry food.
Some dry dog foods recommend they are soaked before feeding as those foods can swell up when mixed with water in the dog's stomach. Always supply plenty of clean fresh drinking water at all times.

How much should I be feeding my dog?
The correct amount of food to serve will be determined by your dog's age, weight and activity level. Feeding guidelines for the different food varieties are included on each pack and in our product brochures.

Does Bestfeed complete dog food contain undesirable 'animal derivatives'
e.g. beaks and feathers?

No, it does not. Unlike many other dog foods, we do not conceal our ingredients by listing them in mysterious categories like "meat and animal derivatives" or "derivatives of vegetable origin".
